Museo Maya de Cancún
This museum houses a collection of Mayan artifacts that are important to Mexico’s heritage. The museum is located on San Miguelito, an ancient Mayan archaeological site. Visitors can enjoy a visit to the ruins and see an array of artifacts related to the Mayan civilization. Generally less crowded than other museums that focus directly on tourists, Museo Maya de Cancún is housed in a unique avant-garde styled building and includes three unique exhibition halls housing over 3,500 artifacts.

Cancún Underwater Museum
Formally referred to as MUSA, or Museo Subacuático de Arte, this non-profit museum includes 500 sculptures across three galleries in the ocean at Cancún National Marine Park. Opened in 2010, the park includes various purposely sunk statues and structures. The Silent Evolution exhibit is the largest at the museum and includes more than 400 human figure sculptures, all of which can be seen by divers and snorkelers. The museum is located at a depth of between 9.8 and 19.6 feet, with new exhibits being developed and launched on a regular basis.

Cancún Wax Museum
Located in the Cancún Hotel Zone, this wax museum is a family-friendly attraction and the only wax museum located in the city. Visitors to the museum will enjoy more than 100 figures from around the world including both national and international celebrities. Exhibits include famous faces from music, cinema, sport and more. Formally titled Museo de Cera Cancún, guests are invited to pose for photos with their favorite celebrity lookalikes.

A public university opened in 2000, it is listed among some of the best public universities in Mexico. With a major focus on the tourism and hospitality industry, ,the university offers various continuing education and employment programs with more than 800 companies around the world.
