Machu Picchu – See

Machu Picchu is one of the most famous historic sites on earth and is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. In addition to the many unique sites and trekking opportunities in the park, the nearby area includes other attractions such as a botanical garden, butterfly house, and thermal baths which are popular among tourists. Trekking to various historical sites outside of Machu Picchu is also popular, but often requires a guided tour due to restrictions on trail-usage and the permits required. As a result, pre-planning is highly recommended.
